うこんの粉弐匁右／鍋（なべ）に入／煎（せん）じ粕（かす）をさり鉢（はち）に入少し

○花（はな）の露（つゆ）の法
大茴香（おほういきやう） 三匁
香丁（かうてう） 三匁五分
山奈（さんな） 壱匁五分
甘松（かんせう） 壱匁五分
いばらの花 拾匁
白（びやく）だん 弐匁五分
右六味／極末（こくまつ）にし美（み）りん酒（しゆ）をすこしふりかけ能（よく）しめしたる
ものを渋紙（しぶかみ）につゝみ一時（ひとゝき）ばかり其侭（そのまゝ）うまし置取出し晒（さらし）もめん
につゝみ蘭曳（らんびき）の中段（ちうたん）に入おき下段へは水を十分に入れ猛（つよき）
火（ひ）にて焼（たく）なり上段の水は度々（たび〳〵）に仕（し）かゆべし
○天井（てんしやう）の絵（ゑ）を写（うつ）しとる術
高（たか）き天井の張付（はりつけ）の絵（ゑ）または文字（もし）にても下（した）にて写（うつ）すに
一筆（ひとふで）〳〵上（うへ）を仰（あを）げはうつし難（かた）し是を写（うつ）すには鏡（かゝみ）を壱面
下におけば是へ天井の絵（ゑ）にても文字（もし）にてもよく写（うつ）るなり
是を見て書写（かきうつ）すべきなり誠に妙なり
現代語訳
ウコンの粉二匁を右の鍋に入れて煎じ、粕を取り去り鉢に入れて少し冷まし、その中へ右の糸を入れ、まだ乾かないうちに渦巻きにして用いる。
○花の露の法
大茴香 三匁
丁香 三匁五分
山奈 一匁五分
甘松 一匁五分
いばらの花 十匁
白檀 二匁五分
右六味を極細末にし、みりん酒を少し振りかけて良く湿らせたものを渋紙に包み、一時ばかりそのまま置いて蒸らし、取り出して晒木綿に包み、蒸留器の中段に入れ置き、下段へは水を十分に入れ、強火で焚く。上段の水は度々に仕替えるべきである。
○天井の絵を写し取る術
高い天井の張付の絵または文字でも下にて写すのに、一筆一筆上を仰いでは写し難い。これを写すには鏡を一面下に置けば、これへ天井の絵でも文字でも良く映る。これを見て書き写すべきである。誠に妙である。
英語訳
Add 2 monme of turmeric powder to the pot, boil it, remove the dregs, put it in a bowl and let it cool slightly. Put the thread into this mixture and while it is still not dry, coil it into a spiral for use.
○Method for flower dew
Star anise - 3 monme
Cloves - 3 monme 5 bu
Alpinia - 1 monme 5 bu
Sweet pine - 1 monme 5 bu
Wild rose flowers - 10 monme
White sandalwood - 2 monme 5 bu
Grind these six ingredients into very fine powder, sprinkle a little mirin wine over them to moisten well, wrap in astringent paper, let it steam as is for about one hour, then take it out and wrap in bleached cotton cloth. Place this in the middle section of a distillation apparatus, fill the bottom section with plenty of water, and heat with strong fire. The water in the upper section should be changed frequently.
○Art of copying ceiling paintings
When copying paintings or writings pasted on high ceilings from below, it is difficult to copy while looking up stroke by stroke. To copy these, place a mirror face up below - the ceiling paintings or writings will be clearly reflected in it. One should copy by looking at this reflection. Truly marvelous.
