○朔日（ついたち）に晴（はる）ればその月のうち
は晴（はれ）おほし朔日雨ふれば月の
うちくもりがちに雨ふる朔日の
前より雨つゞきたるはかろし
毎月 初（はじめの）三日 晴（はる）れば久しく
はるゝ十五日晴ればひさしく
雨ふらず三日月の下に黒雲（くろくも）
ありて横（よこ）にきるればあくる日
雨ふる晦日（つごもり）に雨なければ来
月のはじめかならず風雨有
○八専（はつせん）に入たる明日は多くは
雨ふる俗（ぞく）に八専（はつせん）の丑ふりといふ
十方ぐれのうちはかならず天（てん）

○海上（かいしやう）おきの方（かた）鳴（な）るはかならず
北風ふくおき鳴て天気（てんき）よく

晴る晴（はれ）て後なるは雨
○知風草（ちふうさう）といふ草（くさ）あり和名（わみやう）
をちから草（ぐさ）とも風ぐさとも云
かやに似（に）たり其ふしの有無（あるなし）を
見てそのとし大風の有無を
知る節（ふし）一ッあれば其年（そのとし）一度
大風ふく二ッあれば二度ふく
三ッあれば三度（みたび）ふく本（もと）にあれば
春（はる）ふく中にあれば夏秋ふく
末（すゑ）にある時は冬（ふゆ）大風あり
○鶏（にはとり）おそくとまるは雨 狗（いぬ）地（ち）をかき
て灰（はひ）の上にねふるは雨 狗（いぬ）青草（あをくさ）を
かむは晴 猫（ねこ）青草（あをくさ）をくらふは
雨 蜻蛉（とんぼう）忽（たちま）ちみたれとぶは雨
鸛（こう）の鳥めぐりとべは風雨 蛇（へび）木（き）
にのぼれば洪水（こうずい）出（い）づ万（よろづ）の物みな
其（その）兆（きざし）ある事なれど繁（しげ）けれは略＿レ之

右 細末（さいまつ）し下をよく洗（あら）ひ又 湯（ゆ）に白粉（おしろい）を入て
よくすりあらひて後付べし
　○煙（けふり）にむせびて死したる人を甦（よみがへ）らす方
一 人 煙（けふり）にむせびて死したるには蘿蔔（だいこん）の汁を口
に入るべし蘇生（そせい）するなり
　○乳（ちゝ）の出（いづ）る薬
一 蜂房（はちのす）を黒焼（くろやき）にして醴（あまざけ）に和（くわ）し食後（しよくご）に用ゆ
又 伊予牛旁（いよごばう）の種子（たね）一合 白砂糖（しろざたう）二合あは
せて香色（かういろ）に炒（いり）細末（さいまつ）にして素湯（さゆ）にて食後
に用ゆべし
　○癰疔（ようてう）《割書：幷（ならびに）｜》万（よろづ）の腫物（しゆもつ）を治する薬
一 生（なま）の午膝（ごしつ）の葉　一 柊（ひいらぎ）の葉
右二味 等分（とうぶん）雷盆（すりばち）にてよくすり酢（す）にてとき

付べし実（まこと）に奇妙（きめう）なり案（あんずる）に此方（このはう）諸（もろ〳〵）の膏薬（かうやく）に
まさる事 万々（まん〳〵）なり得易（えやす）き薬なるをもて
疎略（そりやく）におもふべからず
　○切疵（きりきず）ふすべ薬
一 白胡麻（しろごま）　壱味 雷盆（すりばち）にてよくすり雷丸（らいぐわん）の
油（あぶら）を以て煉（ね）るなりこれを絹（きぬ）に包（つゝ）み火（ひ）の上に
おき此上へ紙袋（かみぶくろ）に穴（あな）のあきたる物をきせ此
穴より出る煙（けふり）に疵（きず）の所をさしあて薫（ふす）ぶる
なり痛（いた）み立処（たちどころ）にやみて速（すみやか）に愈（い）ゆ極秘（ごくひ）の
奇方（きはう）なり
　○切疵（きりきず）の薬
一 五月五日に韮（にら）をとりその絞汁（しぼりしる）にふるき
石灰（いしばひ）を粉（こ）にしてこね合せ餅（もち）のごとくにして

【右丁頭書】
○朔日（月の第一日）に晴れるとその月のうちは晴れが多い。朔日に雨が降ると月のうち曇りがちに雨が降る。朔日の前から雨が続いているのは軽い。
毎月初めの三日間晴れると長く晴れる。十五日に晴れると長く雨が降らない。三日月の下に黒雲があって横に切れると翌日雨が降る。月末に雨がなければ来月の初めに必ず風雨がある。
○八専に入った翌日は多くは雨が降る。俗に「八専の丑降り」という。十方暮れの間は必ず天気が曇って悪い。
○海上沖の方で雷が鳴るのは必ず北風が吹く。沖で雷が鳴って天気がよくなることがある。雨が降った後に鳴るのは

晴れる。晴れた後に鳴るのは雨。
○知風草という草がある。和名を「ちから草」とも「風草」とも言う。茅に似ている。その節の有無を見てその年の大風の有無を知る。節が一つあればその年一度大風が吹く。二つあれば二度吹く。三つあれば三度吹く。根元にあれば春に吹く。中にあれば夏秋に吹く。末にある時は冬に大風がある。
○鶏が遅く止まるのは雨。犬が地面を掻いて灰の上に寝るのは雨。犬が青草を噛むのは晴れ。猫が青草を食べるのは雨。蜻蛉がたちまち乱れ飛ぶのは雨。鸛の鳥が回り飛ぶのは風雨。蛇が木に登れば洪水が出る。万物みなその兆しがあることだが、繁雑なので省略する。

【右丁本文】
右を細末にし、患部をよく洗い、また湯に白粉を入れてよくすり洗ってから付けるべし。
　○煙にむせて死した人を蘇らせる方法
煙にむせて死した人には大根の汁を口に入れるべし。蘇生するのである。
　○母乳の出る薬
蜂の巣を黒焼きにして甘酒に和し、食後に用いる。
また伊予牛蒡の種子一合、白砂糖二合を合わせて香ばしい色に炒り、細末にして白湯で食後に用いるべし。
　○癰疔並びに万の腫れ物を治す薬
生の牛膝の葉　柊の葉
右の二味を等分、すり鉢でよくすり、酢で溶き

付けるべし。実に奇妙である。思うにこの方法は諸々の膏薬に勝ること万々である。得やすい薬であるからといって疎略に思ってはならない。
　○切り傷燻べ薬
白胡麻　一味をすり鉢でよくすり、雷丸の油で練るのである。これを絹に包み火の上に置き、この上へ紙袋で穴の開いた物を被せ、この穴より出る煙に傷の所を差し当て燻ぶるのである。痛みがたちどころに止んで速やかに癒える。極秘の奇方である。
　○切り傷の薬
五月五日に韮を取り、その絞り汁に古い石灰を粉にしてこね合わせ、餅のようにして

○There is a grass called Chifū-sō (wind-knowing grass). Its Japanese name is also called "chikara-gusa" (strength grass) or "kaze-gusa" (wind grass). It resembles miscanthus. By observing the presence or absence of its nodes, one can know whether there will be strong winds that year. If there is one node, strong wind will blow once that year. If there are two, it will blow twice. If there are three, it will blow three times. If at the base, it will blow in spring. If in the middle, it will blow in summer and autumn. When at the tip, there will be strong wind in winter.
○When chickens roost late, it means rain. When dogs scratch the ground and sleep on ashes, it means rain. When dogs chew green grass, it means clear weather. When cats eat green grass, it means rain. When dragonflies suddenly fly in disorder, it means rain. When storks fly in circles, it means wind and rain. When snakes climb trees, floods will come. All things have such omens, but I omit them as they are numerous.

Powder the above finely, wash the affected area well, also wash thoroughly with hot water mixed with white powder, then apply.
　○Method to revive people who died from choking on smoke
For people who died from choking on smoke, put daikon radish juice in their mouth. They will be revived.
　○Medicine for milk production
Char bee's nest black and mix with sweet sake, use after meals.
Also, combine one gō of greater burdock seeds from Iyo with two gō of white sugar, roast to a fragrant color, make into fine powder and use with plain hot water after meals.
　○Medicine to treat carbuncles, boils, and all kinds of swellings
Fresh achyranthes leaves, holly leaves
Mix these two ingredients in equal parts, grind well in a mortar, dissolve with vinegar and

apply. This is truly wonderful. I believe this method surpasses all kinds of plasters by far. Do not think lightly of it just because the medicine is easy to obtain.
　○Fumigating medicine for cuts
White sesame - grind this one ingredient well in a mortar, knead with thunderball oil. Wrap this in silk and place over fire, cover with a paper bag with holes, and expose the wound to the smoke coming through these holes to fumigate. The pain stops immediately and heals quickly. This is an extremely secret wonderful method.
　○Medicine for cuts
Take Chinese chives on the fifth day of the fifth month, mix the squeezed juice with powdered old lime, knead together like mochi
