して身にそゝぎ病人（びやうにん）にもそゝ
ぎおけば近（ちか）よりてもうつらぬ
事妙なり又
赤（あか）き袋（ふくろ）に馬（むま）のほねをいれて
男（をとこ）は左女は右の手にもつべし
はやり病の気（き）にあたらず
○痢病（りびやう）をはらふまじなひ
七月 立秋（りつしう）の日 西（にし）にむかひて
くみだての水をもつて赤小豆（あづき）
七粒をのむべし又
七月十三日に厠舎（せついん）をあらひて
清（きよ）むれば痢（り）を煩ふ事なし
又 木槿（むくげ）の花をみそ汁にして
食（くら）ふべしこれは少しかけたる
をもはらひ除（のぞ）くべし又
無花果（いちじく）【左に「タウガキ」と傍記】の枝を出口（でくち）〳〵に釣（つり）
おくべし妙なり

【左丁頭書】
○疱瘡（はうさう）目にいらぬまじなひ
緑豆（りよくづ）七ッをその児（こ）にもたせて
井（ゐ）の中へ投入（なげいら）しむべしその後
この井戸（ゐど）を七へん祈（いのら）しめて
かへるべしいかやうなる疱瘡（はうさう）に
ても目に入ることなし
○小児（せうに）夜なきのまじなひ一方
犬（いぬ）の毛（け）をあかき袋（ふくろ）にいれて
背（せ）の上にかけておくべし又
牛（うし）の糞（くそ）一塊（ひとかたまり）をとりて席（むしろ）の
下へ入おくべし母にも乳母（うば）にも
共に知せぬやうにする也また
猪（ゐのしゝ）のふしどの中に生（はえ）たる草（くさ）を
ひそかにしくもよし
○小児 夜（よる）寝（ね）かぬるまじなひ
うぐろもちの頭（かしら）の骨（ほね）を枕（まくら）
のほ[と]りにおくべしよくねいる也

　○木舌（もくぜつ）の薬
一 舌（した）こはり腫（はれ）て木（き）のごとくなり口中にみち
たるには芍薬（しやくやく）甘草（かんざう）つねのごとくせんじ
含（ふく）みてよし又 砂糖（さたう）に醋（す）をまぜふくみても
よし
　○金（かね）を吞（のみ）たるを治する方
一 誤（あやまつ）て金銀（きん〴〵）銅錫（どうしやく）の類（るい）を吞たるをそのまゝに
すておけば竟（つひ）に病となるもの也そのときは
生鴨（なまがも）の血（ち）を盃（さかづき）に一はいのみてよし
一 小児（せうに）の銭（ぜに）を吞たるには生（なま）の薺（なづな）をおほく
食すべし忽（たちま）ち化（くわ）して下り出る也

一 林檎（りんご）一味 黒焼（くろやき）にして用ゆ甚だ効（しるし）あり又

冬瓜（かもうり）の皮（かは）の所の中の白みを干物（かんぶつ）にして用ひ
てよし又
一 商陸（しやうりく）《割書：大｜》　一 芒根（ばうこん）《割書：中｜》　一 菟糸子（としゝ ）《割書：中｜》
右三味 常（つね）のごとくせんじ用ゆ甚妙なり
　○上戸（じやうご）を下戸（げこ）にする方
一 酒（さけ）を飲（のむ）ごとに酔狂（すいきやう）し踊（をど）り狂（くる）ひて喧嘩（けんくわ）口（こう）
論（ろん）などする人あり醒（さめ）てはみづからも悔（くや）めども
又しては起（おこ）るものなりこれを治するには
酒の飲（のめ）ぬやうにせんより外にすべなし其方
五月五日の朝（あさ）笹（さゝ）の葉（は）の露（つゆ）を取（とり）盃（さかづき）にいれ
酒にまぜて其人のしらぬやうにして飲（のま）す
べし治（ぢ）すること妙なり又 白狗（しろいぬ）の乳（ちゝ）鵜（う）の
糞（ふん）などいづれも験（しるし）あり先祖（せんぞ）の石塔（せきたふ）に手向（たむけ）

現代語訳

【右丁頭書】
して身に振りかけ、病人にも振りかけ置けば、近寄ってもうつらないことは妙である。また
赤い袋に馬の骨を入れて、男は左、女は右の手に持つべし。流行病の気に当たらない。

○下痢病を払うまじない
七月立秋の日、西に向かって汲み立ての水をもって小豆七粒を飲むべし。また
七月十三日に便所を洗って清めれば下痢を患うことがない。
また木槿の花を味噌汁にして食べるべし。これは少し下痢気味なのも払い除くべし。また
無花果の枝を出入口に吊り下げ置くべし。妙である。

【左丁頭書】
○疱瘡が目に入らないまじない
緑豆七つをその子に持たせて井戸の中へ投げ入れさせるべし。その後この井戸を七回祈らせて帰るべし。いかような疱瘡でも目に入ることがない。

○小児夜泣きのまじない一方
犬の毛を赤い袋に入れて背中の上にかけて置くべし。また
牛の糞一塊を取って席の下へ入れ置くべし。母にも乳母にも共に知らせないようにするのである。また
猪の寝床の中に生えた草をひそかに敷くのもよい。

○小児夜眠らないまじない
フクロウの頭の骨を枕の傍らに置くべし。よく眠り入るのである。

【右丁本文】
○木舌の薬
一　舌がこわばり腫れて木のようになり口中に満ちているには芍薬・甘草を普通のように煎じ含んでよい。また砂糖に酢を混ぜ含んでもよい。

○金属を飲み込んだ場合を治す方
一　誤って金銀・銅錫の類を飲み込んだのをそのままにしておけば結局病気となるものである。その時は生鴨の血を盃一杯飲んでよい。
一　小児が銭を飲み込んだ場合は生のなずなを多く食べるべし。たちまち化して下り出てくる。

○腫れ物の薬
一　林檎一味を黒焼きにして用いる。甚だ効果がある。また

○大酒飲みを下戸にする方法
一　酒を飲むごとに酔狂し踊り狂って喧嘩・口論などする人がある。醒めては自分でも悔やむけれども、また同じことを起こすものである。これを治すには酒が飲めないようにするより他に方法がない。その方法は
五月五日の朝、笹の葉の露を取り盃に入れ、酒に混ぜてその人の知らないようにして飲ませるべし。治すこと妙である。また白い犬の乳・鵜の糞などいずれも効験がある。先祖の石塔に手向けて

Also, make miso soup with hibiscus flowers and eat it. This will ward off even slight diarrhea. Also, hang fig branches at entrances and exits. This is miraculous.

○Charm to prevent smallpox from affecting the eyes
Have the child carry seven mung beans and throw them into a well. After that, have them pray at this well seven times before returning. No matter what kind of smallpox it is, it won't affect the eyes.

○Charm for infant night crying - one method
Put dog hair in a red bag and place it on the child's back. Also, take one lump of cow dung and place it under the mat. Do this without letting either the mother or wet nurse know. Also, secretly laying grass that grew in a wild boar's sleeping place is good.

○Charm for children who won't sleep at night
Place an owl's skull bone near the pillow. The child will sleep well.

○Medicine for wooden tongue
When the tongue becomes stiff and swollen like wood, filling the mouth, decoct peony and licorice as usual and hold in the mouth. Also, mixing vinegar with sugar and holding it in the mouth is good.

○Method to treat swallowing metal
If someone mistakenly swallows gold, silver, copper, tin or similar metals, leaving it as is will eventually cause illness. At such times, drink one cup of fresh duck blood.
If a child swallows coins, have them eat much fresh shepherd's purse. It will immediately dissolve and come out below.

○Medicine for swelling
Use apple alone, made into black char. Very effective. Also,

Dry the white part inside winter melon rind and use it. Also:
Pokeweed (large dose), cogon grass root (medium dose), dodder seed (medium dose)
Decoct these three ingredients as usual and use. Very miraculous.

○Method to turn a heavy drinker into a teetotaler
Some people become drunk and disorderly every time they drink, dancing wildly, getting into fights and arguments. When they sober up, they regret it themselves, but they do it again. To cure this, there's no other way but to make them unable to drink alcohol. The method is:
On the morning of the fifth day of the fifth month, collect dew from bamboo leaves, put it in a sake cup, mix it with sake, and have the person drink it without their knowledge.
