元和の年号の頃、肥後国より坊主一人が駿河へと参り上り、御年寄まで言上申して言うには、「肥後国に、キリシタンの寺というものがあり、小西津守が創建した寺でございますが、それがしに難題を申しかけ、追放いたし候。私もイルマンと申して、談義もいたし候。その趣旨は、南蛮国王より日本を従えようとの手立てに、仏法を広めるため、バテレンを多数差し越し、かの国の中、五ヶ国、十箇国の所領を、日本への入用に押し向け
