酒はあきんどのびんほう神也
なぜといふに酒をのむ
ときはしん〴〵
とろけてかきやう
によらいおろ
そかになり
たちまち
びんほうとなる
それだから酒をのま
すににはなてとき〳〵
あんころもちくらいは
大じもあるまい
御しんごんあり
〽あんころ〳〵にはなで
まめいりそはか
アヽちぎてんわう
おごるへいけ

その文にいわく
第一火の用心大切主人に
忠をつくしおやに孝を
おこなひふうふ兄弟
むつましく酒をのまず
女郎をかはず大めしを

ほうたう
あきんとは
ありのとうを
くみやうに

金持成仏は

貧乏神の像
酒は商人の貧乏神なり
なぜというに酒を飲む
時は心身
とろけて稼業
如来おろ
そかになり
たちまち
貧乏となる
それだから酒を飲ま
ずにいれば時々
あんころ餅くらいは
大事もあるまい
御真言あり
〽あんころ〳〵には何で
豆入り蕎麦か
ああ地獄天王
驕る平家
ついに
唐土の
臨終
その文に言わく
第一火の用心大切主人に
忠を尽くし親に孝を
行い夫婦兄弟
睦まじく酒を飲まず
女郎を買わず大飯を
食わず随分朝
早く起きて夜
遅く寝て
銭に金を掴んだら
離すべからざる
ものなり
〽蟻の組んだる五中の
宝塔
商人は
蟻の塔を
組むように
ちっとずつ
〳〵
気を
長く儲け
ためには
金持成仏は
せぬとの
御戒めなり
この故に軽業師も
蟻塔〳〵と
言うて
この宝塔の
謂れを
人々に
示す
なり

The Image of the Poverty God
Sake is the poverty god of merchants
Why is this so? When one drinks
sake, the mind and body
become dissolute and one's trade
becomes sloppy like a
fallen Buddha,
and immediately
one becomes poor.
Therefore, if one refrains
from drinking sake, occasionally
even sweet rice cakes would be
no great matter.
There is a sacred mantra:
〽What goes with sweet rice cakes?
Bean-filled buckwheat noodles perhaps
Ah, King of Hell
The arrogant Heike clan
finally met their
end in
Tang China
The text says:
First, fire prevention is crucial; be
loyal to your master and filial
to your parents; let husband and wife, brothers
live harmoniously; don't drink sake,
don't buy courtesans, don't eat
large meals; get up quite
early in the morning and
sleep late at night.
When you grasp money,
it should not
be let go.
〽The five-story
treasure pagoda built by ants
Merchants should
build like ants' towers,
little by little,
bit by bit,
taking time
to slowly profit.
For this purpose,
the admonition is that
the wealthy cannot
achieve enlightenment.
For this reason, even acrobats
say "ant tower, ant tower"
to show people
the meaning of
this treasure pagoda.
