之門脇手広く家に候得とも使として参り候迄に付
聢と覚不申候由
一城郭躰之事海端平地に切石にて高さ四五間長さ
一丁程も石垣を築立瓦屋根に而候得とも壁長屋様之
家有之大筒五十帳挺計も並へ城之方何家相見
不申同所に而は釼付鉄砲を以日々稽古有之凡
二十三人程も罷出師範頭之者二人脇差様之物を
指罷在候を見懸申候由
一土地之事一躰打開山も無之平地に而海は深く
汐色澄汐行早く波荒く諸国之商船数十艘
繋留早船躰之船も相見商売等専に致候所と相
見イスハニヤにアメリカにエケレス唐阿蘭陀人も見懸
同所へは一ヶ年唐船四艘宛参り候由永繋留之様
子に相見へ申候由
一草木之事城下町家計にて空地に芝生候所も
有之譜不見馴草は見掛不申同所は蘇木并染物

の門脇は手広い家であったが、使いとして参っただけなので、はっきりとは覚えていないという。
一、城郭の体について：海端の平地に切り石で高さ四、五間、長さ一町ほどの石垣を築き立て、瓦屋根であるが、壁は長屋様の家がある。大砲五十挺ほども並べ、城の方向に何軒かの家が見える。同所では剣術と鉄砲で日々稽古があり、およそ二十三人ほどが出て来て、師範や頭の者二人が脇差のような物を差しているのを見かけたという。
一、土地について：一体に開けていて山もなく平地で、海は深く潮の色は澄んでいる。潮の流れは早く波は荒く、諸国の商船数十艘が繋留され、早船のような船も見える。商売などを専らにしている所と見える。スペイン人、アメリカ人、イギリス人、中国人、オランダ人も見かける。同所へは一年に中国船が四艘ずつ来るという。永続的に繋留している様子に見えるという。
一、草木について：城下町家ばかりで、空地に芝生がある所もある。普通見慣れない草は見かけない。同所は蘇木並びに染物になる木が多くあるという話を聞いたという。
一、鳥獣について：鳩、雀、鶏の外は日本の鳥類が多い。犬も見かけ、馬は手綱を引かれているのを見かけたが、日本の馬と変わらないという。
