國頭
國頭ハ本島ノ北方ニ位シ。南ハ中頭ニ界シ。東北
西三面ハ海ニ臨ム。到處山ナラサルハナシ。只僅
ニ海濱平地アルノミ。之ヲ分チテ恩納名護本部
今歸仁羽地大冝味國頭久志金武ノ九間切トス。
恩納間切ハ十二箇村アリ。海ニ沿ヒタル狹長ノ

楚辺村に洞穴がある。幅は約十間で、中に湧き水がある。四方二間ほどで、深さは五六丈である。これを楚辺の暗川という。この村の二百六十余家の飲料水である。

国頭
国頭は本島の北方に位置し、南は中頭に境を接し、東北西の三面は海に臨む。至る所山でないところはない。ただわずかに海浜の平地があるのみである。これを分けて恩納・名護・本部・今帰仁・羽地・大宜味・国頭・久志・金武の九間切とする。
恩納間切には十二か村がある。海に沿った狭長の地で、東は金武間切と山の尾根を分けて西に位置する。西北の二方は海に面し、南は読谷山間切に交わる。那覇から約十一里二十町の距離である。
恩納岳は東境にある。その高さはほとんど嘉津宇岳に匹敵する。その山脈は延びて北に走り、久志・辺野古の諸山に連なっている。
海浜は岬と湾が出入りし、恩納岬が中央に突出し、ヒル・恩納・安富祖の諸港があるけれども、皆口が浅くて船を泊めるのに便利でない。

In Sobe Village, there is a cave. Its width is about ten ken, and inside there is a spring. It is about two ken square and five to six jo deep. This is called the "dark river of Sobe." It serves as drinking water for more than 260 households in this village.
The products are sugar, wheat, soybeans, sweet potatoes, firewood and charcoal.
Kunigami
Kunigami is located in the northern part of the main island. To the south it borders Nakagami, and on three sides—east, north, and west—it faces the sea. There is no place that is not mountainous. There are only small areas of flat land along the coast. This region is divided into nine magiri: Onna, Nago, Motobu, Nakijin, Haneji, Ogimi, Kunigami, Kushi, and Kin.
Onna magiri has twelve villages. It is a narrow, elongated area along the coast, positioned to the west of Kin magiri, separated by mountain ridges to the east. The northwest faces the sea on two sides, and to the south it meets Yomitan magiri. It is about eleven ri and twenty chō from Naha.
Mount Onna is on the eastern border. Its height nearly rivals Mount Katsuu. Its range extends and runs north, connecting to the various mountains of Kushi and Henoko.
The coastline has protruding capes and inlets, with Cape Onna jutting out in the center. Although there are ports at Hiru, Onna, and Afuso, they are all shallow and inconvenient for anchoring ships.
