ノ諸山ヲ眺メ。風景ニ富メリ。昔時國王巡視シテ
此處ニ至リ。萬人ヲ坐セシムヘシト云ヒシヲ以

安富祖村ノ山中ニ瀑布アリ。イン瀧ト云フ。高サ

名護間切ハ十三箇村アリ。南東北ハ恩納金武羽

名護岳ハ東南ニアリ。羽地間切ノタニヨ岳ト相

の諸山を眺め、風景に富んでいる。昔、国王が巡視してここに至り、「万人を座らせることができるだろう」と言ったことから、この名があるという。
安富祖村の山中に滝がある。イン滝という。高さは一丈を超えず、幅は一丈五尺である。その水は流れて前袋川となる。
物産は米、麦、サツマイモ、薪、海魚などである。
名護間切には十三か村がある。南東北は恩納・金武・羽地・今帰仁・本部の五間切と山の尾根を分け、西は海に面している。地形は弓状で、自然に港湾を成している。土地はやや肥沃で水田が多い。那覇から約十七里二十四町の距離である。
名護岳は東南にある。羽地間切のタニヨ岳と相対している。その南に石岳がある。
許田村にある湖平底は、船を泊めるのに便利な良港である。
数久田村に滝がある。轟原滝という。高さ三丈、幅五六尺である。四面に深い森が鬱蒼と茂り、夏でも寒さを感じる。
川の流れは数本に分かれているが、皆細く小さく、ひとり屋部川だけがやや大きい。源を北方の山間から発し、南に流れて屋部村に至って海に注ぐ。

overlooks the various mountains and is rich in scenery. In ancient times, when the king made an inspection tour and came to this place, he said that ten thousand people could be seated here, and thus it received this name.
In the mountains of Afuso Village, there is a waterfall called In Falls. Its height does not exceed one jō, and its width is one jō and five shaku. Its water flows and becomes the Maebukuro River.
The products are rice, wheat, sweet potatoes, firewood, sea fish, and so forth.
Nago magiri has thirteen villages. To the south, east, and north, it is separated by mountain ridges from five magiri: Onna, Kin, Haneji, Nakijin, and Motobu, and to the west it faces the sea. The terrain is bow-shaped, naturally forming a harbor. The soil is rather fertile with many rice paddies. It is about seventeen ri and twenty-four chō from Naha.
Mount Nago is to the southeast. It faces Mount Taniyo in Haneji magiri. To its south is Mount Ishi.
Koheisoko in Kyoda Village is a good port convenient for anchoring ships.
In Sukuta Village there is a waterfall called Todorobaru Falls. It is three jō high and five to six shaku wide. Deep forests grow luxuriantly on all four sides, and one feels cold even in summer.
Although there are several streams, they are all small and narrow, with only the Yabu River being somewhat large. It originates from the mountains in the north, flows south, reaches Yabu Village, and enters the sea.
