To the northwest it connects to the two magiri of Sashiki and Tamagusuku. It is a peninsula extending diagonally from southwest to northeast. The protruding cape faces Katsuren Cape in the distance. In front lies Kudaka Island, with a circumference of about two ri and twenty chō. This island belongs to this magiri. It is about five ri and thirty chō from Naha.
The products are rice, miscellaneous grains, sugar, sweet potatoes, marine fish, etc.
Tamagusuku magiri has fourteen villages. To the southeast it connects to Chinen magiri and faces the sea, while to the northwest it interlocks in a complex manner with the three magiri of Gushikami, Ōzato, and Sashiki. It is about five ri and thirty chō from Naha.
The products are the same as those of Chinen magiri.
Kochinda magiri has eleven villages. It is located in the center of Shimajiri. To the southeast it connects to the three magiri of Ōzato, Gushikami, and Mabuni, while to the northwest it interlocks like dog's teeth with the four magiri of Takamine, Kanegusuku, Tomigusuku, and Haebaru. There is a Shimajiri government office in Kochinda village. It is about four ri and six chō from Naha.
This magiri has flat terrain and the soil is somewhat fertile. In the southeast corner stands Yaese-dake, which is the highest mountain in the Shimajiri region.
The products are rice, wheat, beans, sugar, sweet potatoes, etc.
Takamine magiri has five villages. To the east it interlocks with Kochinda magiri, to the west it faces the sea, to the south it connects to Mabuni magiri, and to the north it borders Kanegusuku magiri
