十九日丙辰。日の出に辛酉に転ず。西風が南風を帯びて定まらず。単庚を用いること一更。日中に壬子癸風に転ず。単酉針を用いる。日入に至って子癸に転じ、また丑癸に転ず。単戌を用いること三更半。夜、月を見て明に至る。

二十日丁巳。日の出に艮寅東北順風に転ず。日中に甲卯に転ず。辛戌を用いること四更。日入に乙辰風に転ず。大雨が降る。船共に行くこと二十六更半。この日、海水に緑色を見る。夜、溝を過ぎて海神を祭る。巽巳風に転ず。辛酉を用いること三更半。明に至る。

二十一日戊午。日の出に大霧あり。正南風が西南に転じ、また西北風に転じて定まらず。船の進行は緩慢で更に上がらず。水を縋ると四十八托。鳥が来て檣に集まる。子癸風に転ず。十三漏に至り、東北大順風に転ず。庚申を用いること二更。明に至る。

二十二日己未。日の出に東北風。晴れて大いに寒し。庚酉申を用いること四更半。日入に燕二羽あり。来て檣上に集まる。二十一漏に至り、乙卯風に転ず。水を縋ると四十托。庚酉を用いること一更。夜雨が降って大霧あり。

二十三日庚申。日の出に霧と大雨。風なし。水を縋ると三十二托。日晡に壬亥風起こる。日入に壬子風に転ず。夜雨が降って大いに寒し。庚酉を用いること二更。未だ明けずして山を見る。離れること一更余り許り。

二十四日辛酉。日の出に単申を用いること一更。魚山及び鳳尾山に至る。

19th day, Bing-Chen. At sunrise, shifted to Xin-You direction. West wind mixed with south wind, unstable. Used single Geng for one watch. At midday, shifted to Ren-Zi-Gui wind. Used single You needle. At sunset, shifted to Zi-Gui, then shifted again to Chou-Gui. Used single Xu for three and a half watches. At night, saw the moon until dawn.

20th day, Ding-Si. At sunrise, shifted to Gen-Yin northeast favorable wind. At midday, shifted to Jia-Mao. Used Xin-Xu for four watches. At sunset, shifted to Yi-Chen wind. Heavy rain fell. Ships sailed together for twenty-six and a half watches. On this day, saw green color in the seawater. At night, passed the channel and offered sacrifices to the sea god. Shifted to Xun-Si wind. Used Xin-You for three and a half watches until dawn.

21st day, Wu-Wu. At sunrise, heavy fog. Due south wind shifted to southwest, then shifted again to northwest wind, unstable. Ship's progress was slow, not advancing by the watch. Sounding the water yielded forty-eight fathoms. Birds came and gathered on the mast. Shifted to Zi-Gui wind. At the thirteenth watch, shifted to northeast strong favorable wind. Used Geng-Shen for two watches until dawn.

22nd day, Ji-Wei. At sunrise, northeast wind. Clear and very cold. Used Geng-You-Shen for four and a half watches. At sunset, there were two swallows that came and gathered on the mast. At the twenty-first watch, shifted to Yi-Mao wind. Sounding the water yielded forty fathoms. Used Geng-You for one watch. Night rain fell with heavy fog.

23rd day, Geng-Shen. At sunrise, fog and heavy rain. No wind. Sounding the water yielded thirty-two fathoms. At the Bu hour, Ren-Hai wind arose. At sunset, shifted to Ren-Zi wind. Night rain fell, very cold. Used Geng-You for two watches. Before dawn, saw mountains at a distance of about one watch away.

24th day, Xin-You. At sunrise, used single Shen for one watch. Reached Fish Mountain and Phoenix Tail Mountain.
