現代語訳

帰国に際して著述しようとしている。伝聞によって得たものは、目で見た者が記録する真実には及ばないと考えるからである。その国の官職で最も尊貴な者を「紫金大夫」と呼ぶ。現在その職にある者は、すなわち舟次先生が前回使節として派遣された時に、陪臣の子弟を学校に入れて書を読ませることを請願した者である。その文辞は見るべきものがあり、彼と語れば娓々として趣がある。今記述するところは、皆彼の口述と、その諸臣の言うところを得て、史牒によってこれを証し、信頼できて根拠がある。嵇含の『南方草木状』、范成大の『桂海虞衡志』も、どうして羨むに足りようか。『皇華』を賦する者は、人がまさに一編を手元に置くべき書物である。康熙六十年、左春坊左中允、南書房の旧直、汪士鋐が序す。
