現代語訳

応があった。福提万正色が上聞に達した。号を加えて祭りを致した。神霊は昭著であり、今に至るまでますます輝いている。およそ海を渡る者は、必ず主を舟中に載せる。往年琉球を冊封した際、諭祭が二度行われた。夏に祈り冬に報告し、皆あらかじめ文を撰んで使臣が昭告した。皆安全を獲得した。これは聖徳の感ずるところであり、神応がとりわけ顕著であるという。

封舟救済の霊蹟《割書：ただ洪熙元年、柴山を救済した霊蹟は、『顕聖録』に詳しい。以下は考証がない。今陳侃より始めることとする。》

嘉靖十三年、冊使陳給事侃《割書：陳侃が初めて記録を有する。故に侃より始める。》、高行人澄。舟が姑米山に至って漏れを発した。呼祷して塞いで済むことを得た。帰りに颶風に遭った。桅檣がことごとく折れた。忽ち紅光があって舟を照らした。そこで筊を請うて柁を起こした。また蝶雀があって象を示した。この夕風が虐した。冠服して祷り碑を立てることを請うた。風はすなわち弛んだ。還って春秋祀典を請うた。

嘉靖四十年、冊使郭汝霖・李際春。行って赤嶼に至った。風がなかった。大魚がいて舟を揺らした。そこで金光明仏並びに彩舟を施して之を舁いた。ついに南風を得て済んだ。閩に回る日に及んで、颶風が発しようとした。予め二雀が舟に集まるという異があった。須臾にして颶風が発し柁を失った。郭らが文を作って以て告げた。風はすなわち息んだ。更に柁を置いた。また一鳥がいて、桅上に集まって去らなかった。

万暦七年、冊使蕭給事崇業、謝行人然。針路が舛錯し、行く所を知らなかった。かつ柁葉を失い去った。虔祷の次第で、俄に一燕一蜻蜓がいて、船の左右を飛び繞った。ついに柁を易えることを得て、舟はすなわち平安であった。

There was a divine response. Fu Ti Wan Zhengse reported this to the emperor. A title was added and sacrifices were offered. The divine spirit was clearly manifest and has become increasingly brilliant to this day. Generally, those who cross the sea must carry the deity aboard their vessels. In past years when Ryukyu was enfeoffed, imperial sacrifices were performed twice. Prayers were offered in summer and reports made in winter, with texts prepared in advance for the envoys to proclaim. All achieved safety. This was due to the influence of imperial virtue, and the divine response was particularly manifest.

Miraculous Records of Rescue by the Enfeoffment Ships 《Marginal note: Only the miraculous rescue of Chaishan in the first year of Hongxi is detailed in the "Record of Divine Manifestations." There is no examination of what follows. Now we begin from Chen Kan.》

In the thirteenth year of Jiajing,册使 Chen Kan the Secretary 《Marginal note: Chen Kan was the first to have records, therefore we begin from Kan》 and Gao Cheng the Assistant. When their ship reached Gumi Mountain, it developed a leak. Through prayer, they managed to plug it and continue. On the return journey, they encountered a hurricane. The masts and rigging all broke. Suddenly there was a red light illuminating the ship. They then requested divination blocks and raised the rudder. There were also butterflies and sparrows showing omens. That evening the wind was fierce. They donned ceremonial robes to pray and requested to erect a stele. The wind then subsided. Upon return, they requested spring and autumn sacrificial rites.

In the fortieth year of Jiajing, 册使 Guo Rulin and Li Jichun proceeded to Red Islet. There was no wind. A large fish disturbed their boat. They then offered a Golden Light Buddha and a decorated boat, carrying them ceremonially. They then obtained a south wind and crossed safely. On the day of returning to Fujian, a hurricane was about to break. There had been the omen of two sparrows gathering on the boat beforehand. In a moment the hurricane struck and they lost their rudder. Guo and others composed a written prayer to announce their plight. The wind then ceased. They installed a new rudder. There was also a bird that perched on the mast and would not leave.

In the seventh year of Wanli, 册使 Xiao Chongye the Secretary and Xie Ran the Assistant lost their bearing with the compass course in error. They did not know where they were going. Moreover, they had lost their rudder blade. During their devout prayers, suddenly there appeared a swallow and a dragonfly flying around the left and right of the ship. They then managed to replace the rudder, and the boat was then safe.
