現代語訳

本年二月十六日、東北の順風に乗じて半月航行し、三十日にようやく福州五虎門に到着した。臣等が海路を往復したが、ほとんど危険はなかった。これは皆、皇上の徳が千古に勝り、福が天と等しいためである。臣等が命を奉じて絶遠の地を経行したところ、神霊が順調さを示してくれた。臣等の全船の官兵、および従役数百人は、一人の欠損もなく、皆安全に帰還することができた。臣等は非常に喜ばしく思っている。琉球国の属民ならびに福建省の官民等も、皆これを奇跡と称して頌辞を寄せ、これは皆我が皇上の徳が海の隅々まで遍く及んだ所以であると言っている。その往復の途中、風が少し順調でない時、臣等が天妃に祈祷すると、即座に安吉を得ることができた。前に台湾を平定した時から、天妃は霊験を顕し順調さを効果をもたらし、すでに皇上の加封を蒙り祭祀を受けている。今回は黙々と封舟を佑護し、種々の霊異がこのようであった。仰ぎ祈るには、特恩をもって許可され、該当地方の官をして、春秋に祭祀を致し、以て神庥に報いることを願う。伏して聖裁を候う。謹んで奏聞する。

On the sixteenth day of the second month of this year, riding favorable northeast winds for half a month, we finally arrived at Wuhu Gate in Fuzhou on the thirtieth day. We ministers traveled the sea route round trip with virtually no dangers. This is all due to our Emperor's virtue surpassing that of all ages, with blessings equal to Heaven itself. When we ministers received the imperial command to travel to this extremely distant place, divine spirits showed us favor. All the officials, soldiers, and several hundred attendants on our ship suffered no losses whatsoever and were all able to return safely. We ministers are extremely gratified. Both the subjects of the Ryukyu Kingdom and the officials and people of Fujian Province all call this miraculous and offer praise, saying that this is all due to our Emperor's virtue extending throughout every corner of the seas. During the round trip, whenever the winds were slightly unfavorable, we ministers would pray to Tianfei and immediately obtained safety and good fortune. Since the time when Taiwan was pacified, Tianfei has manifested divine power and brought favorable conditions, already receiving imperial ennoblement and sacrificial rites. Now she silently protected the enfeoffment ships, with various miraculous signs like these. We humbly pray that through special imperial grace, permission be granted to have local officials conduct sacrificial rites in spring and autumn to repay the divine protection. We prostrate ourselves awaiting the sacred decision. We respectfully memorialize this.

The Ministry of Rites respectfully submits: Regarding matters to be memorialized. According to what we ministers have deliberated and determined, the Hanlin Academy Examiner Minister Hai Bao and Compiler Minister Xu Baoguang and others, who have returned from their mission to the Ryukyu Kingdom, have memorialized stating: We ministers received the imperial edict to enfeoff the King of Ryukyu and made the round trip by sea route. All the officials, soldiers, and several hundred attendants
