現代語訳
鵜飼いの水も二千三千石ほども要るであろう。
「何としてこちらへ帰ろうか。」
口中の掃除をせよと言いつけられ、皆々上下の御歯を磨く。
「下歯はそれほど楽な事でもないぞよ。」
「上歯は格別骨が折れる。危なくてどうにもならぬぞ。」
「それ、打つぞ。」
番手桶にて水を受ける。
竹箒にて洗う。まさに煤掃きと同じようなものだ。
踏み外すとその底は知れぬ。「まあよい、破船したと思えばよいそ。」
