○Knowing now that this land was suitable for growing rice and grain, I cleared about one chō of field near my new dwelling, sowed seeds, and built hedges all around the perimeter. However, new shoots sprouted from those stakes, creating a dense enclosure. I finally finished sowing seeds in both the new and old fields. This was also before the rainy season. When the rainy season comes, it becomes difficult to leave the dwelling.
○When the rainy season came and I stayed in my dwelling, taking advantage of my leisure time to train the parrot, it cried "Pol" for the first time. There is not a single person on the entire island - I can only converse with this bird.
○Also, since I lacked jars necessary for my dwelling, I wanted to make some, but I could not master the manufacturing technique. For storing dried rice and grain and protecting against humidity, nothing surpasses jars. Since this country is in the warm zone, the soil
