免れるのは、ひとえに深い森の密生した樹木が我が住処を隠してくれるからである。また小舟に乗って
潮流に従い、四十里ほど沖の海中に見える一つの浜に到達し
ようとするけれども、海路でもし凶悪な人々に遭遇すれば必ず食われるであろう。また幸いに凶悪な
人々に遭遇しなくても、浜に沿って人里に出ることは困難であろう。
時に帰国への想いがないわけではない。また小舟に乗って出て、もしヨーロッパの
船に遭遇すれば帰る機会を得るであろうと、千思万考して精神が疲
れて眠りに落ちる。○百の憂いが起こるときは、常に天の加護を念じて
精神を固めている。ある夜眠りに落ち、一つの奇妙な夢を見る。早朝、住処
を出て浜を歩き回っていると、二艘の高速艇があり、その中に十一人の
