恩義については少しも仇には思っておりません。しかしながら、大切に思っているというほどのことはございません。

それほど恩義もあった所を、なぜ強いて願いを立てて日本に戻ろうとするのですか。
答
恐れながら、本国には母・妻子・兄弟がおりますので、恩愛の情を忘れがたく、その上食べ物なども不自由で難儀いたしますのみならず、第一言語が明確に通じかね、朝夕心に安らかでないことばかりでございますので、身命をなげうって一心に
