彼方にて日本の事存居候哉
答
何事によらす能存罷在候日本の事実を詳に記申候書物幷に
日本図なとも見及申候日本人にては桂川甫周様中川淳庵様と申
御方様の御名をは何れも存居申候日本の事を書候書物之中
にも書載有之様に承及申候《割書：中川淳庵は若州の侍医なり往年｜病死す彼国にては官医のやうに心得居候趣也》

羽根四枚にて殊之外大造作成物に御座候是は流川無之所にて

何事によらずよく知っております。日本の事実を詳しく記した書物並びに日本地図なども見ました。日本人では桂川甫周様、中川淳庵様という方々のお名前をいずれも知っております。日本のことを書いた書物の中にも書き載せてあるように承知しております。《割書：中川淳庵は若狭国の侍医である。往年病死した。彼の国では官医のように心得ているようである》
