右件の問答終りて後弐人漂民は御暇賜り雉子橋の
外なる御厩の宿りに帰りぬ実に昇平大和の御代に

【右丁】
右の件の問答が終わった後、二人の漂流民は御暇をいただき、雉子橋の外にある御厩の宿に帰った。実に平和な御代に生まれ出て、お側近くお仕えしているからこそ、このようなことも見聞きするのである。さりとて、ただ聞き流すべき事ではないので、短い筆を取ってひそかに記し終えたのである。

ロシア国の船一艘が長崎に到着するための証明書の件
汝らの申し出の趣旨を承諾して長崎に到達することを許可する。
そもそもキリシタンの教えは我が国の大禁である。その像及び器物、書籍等も持参してはならない。必ず害を受けることがあろう。この旨をよく遵守して彼の地に到着すれば、なお審査して上陸をも許可するであろう。そのためにこの一通を与える次第である。

After the aforementioned questions and answers concluded, the two castaways received permission to leave and returned to their lodgings at the stables outside Kijibashi Bridge. Truly, having been born in this peaceful era and serving close to His Lordship, I was able to witness and hear such things. However, since this is not something to merely listen to and forget, I took up my short brush and secretly recorded it all.

Concerning the certificate for one Russian ship to arrive at Nagasaki
We acknowledge the purport of your petition and permit you to proceed to Nagasaki.
However, the Christian religion is strictly forbidden in our country. You must not bring any religious images, implements, books, or similar items. You will surely suffer harm if you do. If you strictly observe this directive and arrive at that place, we will conduct further investigations and may also permit you to land. For this purpose, we grant you this document.
