さからひ不申食事は
相応ニ給候事故心を
尽し其間ニも種々
好候品一事ニ而も背き
不申其方才覚を以調

無拠近頃瀬戸物焼継
いたし看病之片手間ニ

逆らわず、食事は
適度に摂取していることなので、心を
尽くし、その間にも様々な
好む品物一つにおいても背かず、
その方の才覚をもって調達し
食べさせ、看病にのみ専念し
次第に稼ぎ仕事もできなくなり、
あれこれと困窮するようになったため
やむを得ず近頃瀬戸物の焼継ぎを
行い、看病の合間に
