一 石切旅稼之者壱人茂無御座候
右者念入村中一々取調仕申候少茂
相違無御座候若上ニ茂不吟味成儀有
之而後日及御聞被成下候ハヽ其元ゟ
早速御注進可被成候其段御調之上如何
様之御咎筋被 仰付候共少茂御恨無
御座候為後日連印証文仍而如件

一、石切り出稼ぎの者は一人もおりません
右の件については、念入りに村中を一人一人取り調べいたしました。少しも相違ございません。もし今後、調査が不十分な事柄があり、後日お耳に入ることがございましたら、そちらから早速ご報告くださいませ。その件についてご調査の上、いかなるお咎めを仰せ付けられましても、少しも恨みに思うことはございません。後日の証拠として連名で証文をお渡しいたします。よって件の如し。

After you investigate such matters, we will harbor no resentment whatsoever, regardless of what punishment you may impose upon us. We submit this jointly signed document as proof for future reference. Thus stated.
