一世上金銀不足二付通用不自由之由
相聞候二付而此度金銀被吹改候事
一此度吹改候金銀相渡候共慶長金
新置者百匁之代り百両乾字金者
弐百両之代り二百両慶長銀新沽ハ
拾貫目之代り二極中金引替可相渡候間
右引替候積を以書面之金銀無
差別取受請殿方渡方両替
共二無滞通用可致候尤上納金
沽茂可為同前之事
一吹改候金銀金座銀座より増図
差出候可引替ハ員数之場儀も引
替金百匁二付増図六拾五匁宛
引替銀拾貫目二付増図銀五匁目
宛相渡可申事
一引替金銀町人より引替候筈二候
条茂家其外共二勝手次第町人二
相対二而申付可引替候事

金銀座二而引 候間可得其意候
現代語訳
覚
一、世の中で金銀が不足しており、流通に不便をきたしているとのことを聞いたため、この度金銀を吹き直し改鋳することになった件
一、この度吹き直し改鋳した金銀を引き渡すにあたり、慶長金・新金については百匁の代わりに百両、乾字金については二百両の代わりに二百両、慶長銀・新銀については十貫目の代わりに十貫目で中金と引き替えて渡すことになったので、右の引き替えの計算に基づいて、書面記載の金銀を差別なく受け取り、お殿方への渡し方や両替なども滞りなく通用させること。なお上納する金銀も同様とする件
一、吹き直し改鋳した金銀は金座・銀座から増歩を添えて差し出すので、引き替える場合は員数に応じて、引き替え金百匁につき増歩六十五匁ずつ、引き替え銀十貫目につき増歩銀五匁ずつを渡すこと
一、引き替える金銀は町人から引き替える規定であるが、諸大名家その他においても都合次第で町人と相対で取り決めて引き替えを申し付けてよい件
一、引き替えに差し出すべき金銀については員数が分かっているので、貯め置かずに引き替えを申し出ること。もし貯め置いて引き替えない者がいることが分かった場合は、吟味の上厳しく処罰する件
付記 右の引き替えに出さない銀については、今まで通り潰して積んでおくものと心得ること
右の条項を諸国各所で承知すべき旨である

この度の金銀引き替えの件について、来る（日）より金銀座にて引き替えるので、その旨承知すべきである

Memorandum
1. Regarding the recoining and reforming of gold and silver currency due to reports that there is a shortage of gold and silver in circulation, causing inconvenience in trade.
1. Concerning the distribution of the newly recoined gold and silver: Keichō gold and new gold shall be exchanged at 100 ryō for 100 monme, Kanshi gold at 200 ryō for 200 ryō, and Keichō silver and new silver at 10 kan-me for 10 kan-me of medium-grade gold. Based on these exchange calculations, the gold and silver specified in the written records shall be accepted without discrimination, and distribution to feudal lords and money changing shall proceed smoothly. The same shall apply to tax payments in gold and silver.
1. For the recoined gold and silver issued by the gold and silver mints with additional premiums: when exchanging, according to the quantities involved, an additional premium of 65 monme shall be given per 100 monme of exchange gold, and an additional premium of 5 monme of silver shall be given per 10 kan-me of exchange silver.
1. Regarding the gold and silver to be exchanged: while the regulation states that exchanges should be conducted through merchants, daimyo houses and others may arrange exchanges through direct negotiations with merchants as convenient.
1. Concerning the gold and silver to be submitted for exchange: since the quantities are known, they should be submitted for exchange without hoarding. If anyone is found to be hoarding and not exchanging, they will be investigated and severely punished.
Note: Silver not submitted for this exchange should be understood to be melted down and stored as before.
These provisions are to be understood in all provinces and localities.
