ここにずっと昔のことであったが、姓名ははっきりしないけれども、不具の縁の嘘をつくゆえに「かてつほう先生」という名医がいた。瘂科（口のきけない病気の治療）、婦人科、本道科、外科などの専門ではなく、薬箱はあるけれども薬を持たず、脈も診ず、ただ体の様子を話させれば、たちまち治すことを知っている奇々妙々な医者であったので、多くの人々が群集して治療を頼んだ。

『内経』に「精神が内を守れば、病はどこから入ろうか」とあるので、五体の内を丈夫にしておくのが第一でございます。
脈は診るものではございません。病人に手を取るのは良くないことです。

Long, long ago, there lived a famous doctor whose exact name is unclear, but who was called "Katetsuho-sensei." Because he told lies about the origins of disabilities, he became known by this name. He did not specialize in speech disorders, gynecology, internal medicine, or surgery. Though he had a medicine box, he carried no medicines and did not take pulses. He was a most wondrous physician who could cure patients immediately simply by having them describe their physical condition. Many people flocked to him seeking treatment.

The Inner Canon states: "When the spirit guards the interior, how can disease enter?" Therefore, keeping the interior of the five bodies strong is the most important thing.
The pulse should not be examined. Taking a patient's hand is a bad thing to do.
