餅（もち）何事（なにごと）も中（なか）に包（つゝ）むをあんといふ外（そと）より見（み）へず

餅は何でも中に包むものを「あん」という。外からは見えず、まだ天地が分かれていない状態なので「闇（あん）」である。「あん」は「やみ」のことであり、暗いものなので「あん」と呼ぶのであろう。
