しものおほくなりければ浴衣（ゆかた）のもやう扇（あふぎ）その外（ほか）
何（なに）くれ彼（かれ）が定紋（ぢやうもん）を作（つく）り出（いだ）し染出（そめだ）し天下（てんか）の
流行（りうかう）ものとはなりけらしその紋所（もんどころ）

よつて千乃利休（せんのりきう）としやうじける門人（もんじん）数多（あまた）あり
その中（なか）に幸兵衛（こうべゑ）といふ人（ひと）これも茶（ちや）の道（みち）をよくし
殊（こと）にさま〴〵の事に才能（さいのう）あつて菓子（くはし）なんど能（よく）

彼女の信奉者が多くなったので、浴衣の模様や扇子、その他何かにつけて彼女の定紋を作り出し、染め出して天下の流行り物となったらしい。その紋所は
【紋所の図】このような紋である。世が移り変わって、干菓子にのみこの紋所が今に残っている。「かほる」の文字を「花」と読み替えて
「花ぼうろ」なるのであろう。

天正年間（1573-1593）の頃、堺に納屋の与四郎という人がいた。茶の湯に名を得て、身分の高い方々まで召し寄せられ、日々茶の湯が催された。この技芸によって千利休と称し、門人も数多くいた。その中に幸兵衛という人がいて、この人も茶の道をよくし、特に様々なことに才能があって、菓子なども上手に作った。その頃は大いに天下が乱れ、菓子屋などという職業もなく、口取りその他の仕事も兼ねていたが
