一唐國之内廣東奥門江上陸致し同所ニ而見聞之様子

一廣東之時節者日本ゟ餘程暖ニ覚申候
一奥門ヲ外国人之詞ニテハ「ヤカウと申候唐人者「ヲヽモンと申候
一奥門者外国舩の舩附者相見江外国人数多見受申候此
所ニ而天竺人安南人「マタラス人「アメリカ人「イキリス人等
見受申候
一天竺人者頭後口似ニ少し髪ヲ残し又者片髪ニ髪ヲ残し

一、中国国内の広東・マカオに上陸し、その地で見聞きした様子などは次の通りです。
一、広東の季節は日本よりもかなり暖かく感じました。
一、マカオを外国人の言葉では「ヤカウ」と言い、中国人は「ヲヽモン」と言います。
一、マカオは外国船の寄港地と見受けられ、外国人を数多く見かけました。この所でインド人、安南人、マタラス人、アメリカ人、イギリス人などを見ました。
一、インド人は頭の後ろ側に少し髪を残し、また片側に髪を残し、

他は残らず剃っており、烏帽子のような物をかぶり、口髭を長くしています。着物は筒袖のゆったりとした物で、腰より下にかかる物を着て、下はももひき（ズボン状の物）を履いています。
一、安南人は諸事中国人と同様ですが、歯を黒く染めています。
一、マタラス人は頭は総髪で、髪を五寸ほどずつに切り、手拭いのような布を巻いています。口髭はありませんが、すねまである着物を着て、ももひきを履いています。
一、アフリカ人は全身が非常に黒く、着服などは全てアメリカ人と同様で、頭は総髪、髪は黒くいずれも縮れています。
