一此所之近邊ニ離レ嶋を「イキリス人近頃討取住居
致し居候様子ニ承り申候
一穀類幷くだ物𩵋鳥之類都而日本と同様ニ而殊ニ𩵋
類者至而沢山ニ而𩵋幷鳥青物類夫々市賣り
致し候を見受申候
一此所之町内象牙細工いたし候家江立寄細工物見受
候處象牙ニ而拵候扇幷櫛帆掛舩覚書いたし候品
等見受申候
一此所逗留中町内ニ而小家ヲ建芝居体之儀を致居候

一、この所の近辺にある離れ島をイギリス人が近頃攻め取って住居しているという様子を聞きました。
一、穀類並びに果物、魚、鳥の類は全て日本と同様で、特に魚類は非常に沢山あり、魚並びに鳥、青物類をそれぞれ市場で売っているのを見ました。
一、この所の町内で象牙細工をしている家に立ち寄って細工物を見たところ、象牙で作った扇並びに櫛、帆掛け船、覚書をした品等を見ました。
一、この所に逗留中、町内で小屋を建てて芝居のようなことをしているところ

に参って見物したところ、芸事は争いのようなもので、演技の内容では女の方が強いように見受けられました。
一、卯年の九月上旬頃、乍浦という処に参り、同所で見受けた様子等は次の通りです。
一、この所の気候は広東、マカオよりも寒い方で、大体日本と同様に思われます。
一、この所は長崎への渡海の船場で、所々から荷物を小船で積み回しているのを見ました。
一、広東、マカオの辺りからここまでの間の浜辺のような所の人家等
