【右丁】
打ち壊された場所を二三ヶ所ほど見ました。乍浦も家数およそ五百軒が打ち壊されており、その跡地で現在普請（建設工事）をしています。また山々にある番所のような所も打ち壊されており、唐人も大分殺されたということで、大分前にイギリス人の船が去年の寅年に打ち壊したと通詞の唐人から聞きました。
この所も繁昌している場所で家数も多く、穀物等諸事はマカオと同様です。ただしこの所には外国人は一人もおらず、唐人だけです。
以上はアメリカ並びに唐国で見受けた品々について、それぞれお尋ねに付き申し上げることです。

唐国の内、乍浦という所で貰った品々は次の通りです。

一、木綿蒲団 一つ
これは乍浦に着いた節、同所で貰い受け、逗留中並びに帰国の節に船中で用いました。
一、棕櫚 一つ
これは日本へ帰る節に船中で敷物にするようにということで貰いました。
一、細引 一つ
一、唐銭
乍浦で六百文貰った内の使い余りで持ち帰ったところ、長崎奉行所で御取り上げとなり、代わりに日本銭十文をお戻しになりました。
一、猪口

一、木綿綿入 一つ
これは日本へ帰る節、日本と同様に仕立て、役所から下されたということで通詞から貰いました。
一、籠具 一つ
これは雑具入れとして貰いました。
一、箱 一つ
問屋の処に止宿中に貰いました。ただし蓋に「摂州兵庫津中村屋善助」と認めてあります。これは善助が蓋に認めたところ、唐人が認め直してくれたということです。
一、朱印肉 一器
一、皿紗蒲団表 一つ

I saw two or three places that had been destroyed. In Zhapu as well, about five hundred houses were destroyed, and construction work is currently being done on those sites. The guardhouses in the mountains were also destroyed, and many Chinese were killed. I heard from a Chinese interpreter that British ships had carried out this destruction in the previous year of the Tiger.
This place is also a prosperous location with many houses, and grains and other matters are the same as in Macao. However, there are no foreigners at all in this place, only Chinese people.
The above concerns the items I observed in America and China, which I report in response to your various inquiries.

This I received at Zhapu when I arrived there, and used during my stay and on the ship when returning to Japan.

This was given to me to use as bedding on the ship when returning to Japan.

Of the 600 mon I received at Zhapu, this was the remainder after spending some. When I brought it back, it was confiscated at the Nagasaki magistrate's office, and in exchange I was given back 10 mon in Japanese coins.

This was given to me by the interpreter, saying it was tailored in the Japanese style and provided by the government office when I returned to Japan.

This was given to me as a container for miscellaneous items.

I received this while staying at a wholesale merchant's place. The lid is inscribed "Zensuke of Nakamuraya, Hyogo Port, Settsu Province." This was written by Zensuke on the lid, and then a Chinese person rewrote it properly.
