【上段】
一、蓋茶碗　　　　　　　　三つ
　外国のアメリカという所で貰った品々は次の通りです。

一、地図折本　　　　　　大小二冊
　ただし大方には異国人の絵があります。すべて絵図はマップと申すそうです。

一、異国人の絵　　　　　　一枚
　この二品は大切にして日本へ持ち帰るようにということで貰いました。

一、冬服
　ラシャ筒袖着物　　　　　一つ
一、足袋　　　　　　　　　一足
　これはストッキングスと申します。

【下段】
一、砥石　　　　　　　　　一つ
　この五品は前段の問屋のような所で貰いました。

一、中着
　これは毛綿の小切れで同所で貰ったので、これで善助が袋に仕立てたということです。

以上の品々は唐国で貰った品です。ただし唐国の言葉は聞き覚えることができませんでした。

一、呉羅服蓮筒袖着物　　　一つ

　これら三品ともシャツと申します。

　これはラシャの塵などを取る品でブラシと申します。

一、紫檀板　　　　　　　小一つ
　この毛掃の台は板です。

一、帽子　　　　　　　　　一つ
　これはハットと申して夏冬とも用います。ただし庇のような先が前に出ています。

一、銀のような飾物　　　　二つ
　これは何と申す名前か存じませんが、コマンダンテと唱え、その所を司る官人が筒袖の両肩に付け結び下げる品です。下役人はこのような飾物の掛けを真鍮で作り、両肩に結び下げる節もあり、片付ける節もあります。飾物を用いる節はすべて筒袖に錦糸などの模様があります。

【下段】
一、ラシャ股引　　　　　　二つ
　これはパンタロンと申します。

一、白金巾筒袖着物　　　　五つ
　これはすべて主人のような者の下着でカミーザと申します。

一、皿紗同　　　　　　　　一つ
　これは下人のような者の下着で呼び方は右と同様です。

一、紋呉羅服蓮　　　　　　一つ
　このような袖なし胴着
　この二品はシャツと申します。

一、白金巾袋様の物　　　　四つ
　これはアルマダ（枕の名はトラベセイロ、袋の名はフォルサ）と唱え、枕を入れる袋です。

The above items were received in China. However, I was unable to learn the Chinese language.

All three of these items are called "shirts."

These are items for removing dust from woolen cloth and are called "brushes."

First, one small rosewood board
This board serves as a base for the brushes.

First, one hat
This is called a "hat" and is used in both summer and winter. It has a brim-like projection in front.

First, two silver-like ornaments
I don't know what these are called, but they are referred to as "Commandante," and are items that officials who govern a place attach and hang from both shoulders of their tube-sleeved garments. Lower officials make such ornament hangers from brass and sometimes hang them from both shoulders, and sometimes put them away. When using ornaments, the tube-sleeved garments always have patterns of gold thread and such.

First, two woolen hakama-like garments
These are called "pantalon."

First, five white cotton tube-sleeved garments
These are all undergarments for master-class people and are called "camisa."

First, one similar gauze item
This is undergarment for servant-class people, and the name is the same as above.

First, one patterned silk garment
Such sleeveless body wear
These two items are called "shirts."

First, four white cotton bag-like items
These are called "almada" (the pillow is called "travesseiro," the bag is called "fronha") and are bags for holding pillows.
