二人
なんとして言う「この相子に荒々しい人の木は残らず関台に植えたる千枚をもってする趣向は急拵えであるけれども、すでに畳の上へ上がるのにも土だらけになったる関台のままさするや。なんぞ面目や。人形のごとく人間に台のある事、あまりなる趣向なり」
答えて言う
「この島に限らず、およそ世界の人のこらず台あり。目にこそ見えね、ここに表す世界の角のごとくなり。日本の人はまっすぐに立ち、唐の人は横にして、天竺の人はさる高さまなり。一切の草木までかくのごとく、わけは次の組み上げのところにて説くべし」

What a sight! Having platforms for humans like dolls is quite an excessive design."
In reply:
"Not limited to this island, all people in the world have platforms. Though invisible to the eye, they are like the corners of the world shown here. Japanese people stand straight up, Chinese people are positioned horizontally, and people from India are at various heights. Even all vegetation is like this. The explanation will be given in the assembly section that follows."
