シ此母子ヲ親切ノ門徒ニ釈ヲ〱セハ夫ヨリ秀
吉公ヘ執入ラント計略セシヿナレハ重テ母ニ
説テ申ケルハ凡後生未来ノ沙汰ハ人民ノ心ノ
覚悟ナレハ強テ教化スヘカラスト雖トモ過去ノ
因縁アツテ仮ノ因ニ御懇篤無余義候得ハ再応
ヲ申ニ候凡今世ノ仏法御信仰ノ念仏ヲ始諸宗
ノ仏徳ヲ御覧候得釈迦説法ノ諸経々ニハ様々
ノ神通自在ヲ出現セラレ候ヿ相見ヘ候然ラハ
今世ニ其仏ハ居玉ハストモ法徳衰微ナキニ於テ
ハ其法力ヲ以テ神通自在モ叶ハスンハ有ヘカ
ラス然レトモ今諸宗ノ仏法威力消滅シタル証拠
ニハ口ニ仏法ヲ説ト雖トモ顕ニ仏法不思議ノ神
通ヲ顕スヿ能ハス候今又我天帝宗ハ天地ノ始
出現ノ仏ニテ法力万代不易ナレハ今我等体ニ
至ル迄其法徳ヲ以神通ヲ得スト云ヿナシ一度
我宗ニ帰伏ノ人ハ身命ヲ抛テ天帝ヲ帰依ス当
時南蛮寺ノ門徒繁昌ヲ見玉ヘ皆老母ノ如キ念
仏ノ行者ヲ始メ諸宗ノ門徒ナレトモ一度我宗ニ
入徳スレハ再ヒ余宗ノ事ヲ念ハス黄金真鍮ト
ヲ並ベ見ル時ハ等シケレトモ是ヲ砕テ見ル時ハ

考えていた。この母子を親切な門徒として説得すれば、それより秀吉公へと取り入ろうと計略していたのである。そこで重ねて母に説いて申すには「およそ後生未来の沙汰は人民の心の覚悟であるから、強いて教化すべきではないとはいえ、過去の因縁があって仮にも御懇篤の義理がある以上、再度申し上げるのである。およそ今世の仏法で御信仰の念仏をはじめ諸宗の仏徳を御覧になられよ。釈迦説法の諸経典には様々な神通自在を出現されたことが相見えている。そうであるなら、今世にその仏がいらっしゃるとしても、法徳が衰微していないのであれば、その法力をもって神通自在も叶わないはずがない。しかしながら今諸宗の仏法の威力が消滅した証拠には、口では仏法を説くといえども、明らかに仏法不思議の神通を顕すことができない。今また我が天帝宗は天地の始まりに出現した仏であって、法力は万代不変であるから、今我々の体に至るまでその法徳をもって神通を得ないということはない。一度我が宗に帰依した人は身命を投げ打って天帝を帰依する。当時の南蛮寺の門徒の繁昌を見よ。皆老母のような念仏の行者をはじめ諸宗の門徒であったが、一度我が宗に入信すれば再び他宗のことを思わない。黄金と真鍮とを並べて見る時は等しく見えるが、これを砕いて見る時は

Therefore, he again preached to the mother, saying: "Generally speaking, matters of the afterlife and future are matters of people's mental preparation, so one should not force conversion upon them. However, given that there are karmic connections from the past and out of your kindness there is no other choice, I speak to you again. Look at the Buddhist virtues of all sects, beginning with the nembutsu of your faith in today's Buddhism. In the various sutras of Shakyamuni's teachings, it appears that various supernatural powers were manifested. If this is so, then even if that Buddha exists in this world, if the dharmic virtue has not declined, there is no reason why supernatural powers should not be achievable through that dharmic power. However, the evidence that the威力 of all Buddhist sects today has disappeared is that although they preach Buddhism with their mouths, they cannot clearly manifest the miraculous supernatural powers of Buddhism. Now, our Heavenly Emperor sect is a Buddha that appeared at the beginning of heaven and earth, and since its dharmic power is unchanging for ten thousand generations, there is no reason why we cannot obtain supernatural powers through that dharmic virtue, even down to our physical bodies. Those who take refuge in our sect once throw away their lives to worship the Heavenly Emperor. Look at the prosperity of the followers of Nanban-ji temple today. They were all followers of various sects, beginning with nembutsu practitioners like this old mother, but once they converted to our sect, they never again think of other sects.
