思出粗馳筆也
抑生商売之家

先手跡算術之

現代語訳

取り扱う文字まで思い出すままに粗略ながら筆を走らせたものである。そもそも商売を生業とする家の子弟は、幼い時から、まず手跡（書道）と算術の修行をすることが肝要である。

英語訳

I have roughly set down in writing the characters one might handle, as they came to mind. Now then, children from merchant families should, from their early years, first and foremost diligently practice calligraphy and arithmetic, as these are essential skills.
