先日はお忙しい中をお越しいただき、ありがたく存じます。さて、お迎えのために何度も使いの者を遣わしましたが、ただ一度を除いて参上されなかったと作右衛門殿からお聞きしました。そこで使いの者をよく調べましたところ、作右衛門殿にお同道いただいて、ご苦労をおかけしますが、少しの間お越しいただきたく、この件をお伝えしたく手紙でこのように申し上げます。以上

Letter Written on Behalf of Another
Recently, thank you for taking the time to visit me despite your busy schedule. Regarding the matter of sending messengers to invite you several times, I heard from Sakuemon-san that you did not come except for one occasion. Therefore, I thoroughly investigated the messengers, and I would like to request that you visit briefly, even though it may be troublesome, accompanied by Sakuemon-san. I am writing this letter to convey this matter. That is all.
