【吉祥天の台詞】

【本文】
弁財天は嫉妬のあまり、思わず髪の毛が蛇となってしまったので、我ながら恐ろしく、金山寺へ来て髪を下ろし、尼になろうと布袋和尚を頼みなさった。
【布袋の台詞】
それはあまりに短気というものです。拙僧がよきに取り計らい申しましょう。まず二三日、唐子どもにも見つけられぬように、この押し入れの内へでも忍んでこられよ。私がよそへ行く時は袋の中へ入れて担いで出ましょう。寺に女を置くのは、きつい法度じゃ。

That is far too hasty! This humble monk will arrange things properly. First, for two or three days, hide inside this closet so that even the acolytes won't find you. When I go out, I'll put you in my bag and carry you. Keeping a woman in the temple is strictly forbidden.
