まずこの事は差し置いて、一つも包みがないと言われたが、袋の中にばかり三箱ある。何とぞよい返報の仕方がありそうなものだ。
【本文】
布袋は慌てふためいて、大黒と袋を取り違えて帰り、それとも気づかずに開いて見たところ、千両袋が三箱あった。折しも毘沙門が後ろ手に餅を持って、のんびりと見回していたが、この様子を見て大いに腹を立てなさった。

First, setting this matter aside, you said there wasn't a single package, but there are three boxes just in the bag. Surely there must be some good way to repay this favor.
【Main text】
Hotei, in his confusion and fluster, mixed up Daikoku with the bag and returned home. Without realizing his mistake, he opened it and looked inside to find three boxes of thousand-ryō each. Just then, Bishamonten was leisurely looking around with rice cakes in his hands behind his back, but when he saw this situation, he became greatly enraged.
