三拝を行い、御奏者番が披露して退座した。大目付二人が案内して殿上間へ同列下段に着座させ、薩摩守、豊後守も殿上間へ退去した。

右の者が板縁において拝礼を奉じた。
台顔（将軍）への御太刀目録を御奏者番が披露して退去した。
その後、御間の襖障子【割書：月番助】が開かれ、御敷居際に立たれた御譜代大名その外一同の御目見が相済んで入御された。
英語訳
He performed three prostrations, the goshōsha-ban made the announcement, and he withdrew from his seat. Two ōmetsuke escorted him to the denshō-no-ma where he was seated in the lower tier of the same rank. Satsuma-no-kami and Bungo-no-kami also withdrew to the denshō-no-ma.

The goshōsha-ban presented the ceremonial sword catalog to His Lordship (the Shogun) and withdrew.
Thereafter, the sliding doors of the formal chamber [marginal note: monthly duty assistant] were opened, and after the formal audience with the hereditary daimyo and others standing at the threshold was completed, [the Shogun] entered the chamber.
