右京亮平政盛は（政盛について考察するに、平九郎光盛の男子ではないだろうか）治部大輔盛安の男で、平兼盛の末裔である。兼盛は初めて陸奥国に下って岩手郡滴石の庄戸沢という所に住んだ。後にまた出羽国山本郡に移った。（系図によれば）
（尾輪平親王の御子飛騨守平兼盛が陸奥岩手郡滴石の庄戸沢という所に住んだと考察するに、代々の帝の御子にまだ尾輪平親王と申した方は見当たらない。また平の姓を賜った人々にも尾輪と聞こえる者は見当たらないという。第58代の朝廷光孝天皇第一の皇子一品式部卿是忠親王、また仲野親王とも申す。その御子従五位上山城守興雅王、一つに興我王とも書く。その子大弐従四位上篤行が平の姓を賜う。その子正五位下平兼盛、これは天徳の歌合で忍恋の歌を詠んで勝った人で、赤染衛門の実父である。後撰集には兼盛王と見える。清輔の説によれば、兼盛はもと王氏であったので、大君として天暦年間に申し出て本姓に戻ったという。この人は大和物語には越前権守であったと見える。ある人の説には従五位下駿河守ともいう。飛騨守であったことは見当たらない。また、この人ではなく、別に平兼盛と聞こえた人なのかもしれず、はっきりしない）その子孫、我が祖が初めて

Ukyōnosuke Taira Masamori (Upon examination, Masamori may be a son of Heikurō Mitsumori) was the son of Jibū-no-taifu Morinobu, and a descendant of Taira Kanemori. Kanemori first went down to Mutsu Province and resided in a place called Tozawa in Tekiseki-no-shō, Iwate District. Later he moved to Yamamoto District in Dewa Province. (According to genealogical records)
(It is said that Prince Owa's son, Hida-no-kami Taira Kanemori, lived in a place called Tozawa in Tekiseki-no-shō, Iwate District, Mutsu Province. However, upon examination, there appears to be no Prince Owa among the imperial princes of successive generations. Also, among those who were granted the Taira surname, none named Owa can be found. The 58th emperor Kōkō Tennō's first prince, First Rank Shikibu-kyō Koretada Shinnō, also called Nakano Shinnō. His son, Junior Fifth Rank Upper Yamashiro-no-kami Prince Okimasa, also written as Prince Okiga. His son, Daini Junior Fourth Rank Upper Atsuyuki, was granted the Taira surname. His son, Junior Fifth Rank Lower Taira Kanemori, was the one who won the poetry contest of Tentoku era with a poem about secret love, and was the real father of Akazome Emon. In the Gosen-shū he appears as Kanemori-ō. According to Kiyosuke's theory, since Kanemori was originally of princely lineage, he petitioned during the Tenryaku era to return to his original surname. This person appears in Yamato Monogatari as Echizen-no-gon-no-kami. According to some accounts, he was also Junior Fifth Rank Lower Suruga-no-kami. There is no record of him being Hida-no-kami.
