封外候条少も懸念なく向後手広ニ可令売買

中国船が持ち込む薬種や荒物類の買い取り、並びに荷物の合引当などに関わる者たちが、近頃売買を危険視して資金繰りが良くないという話を聞いている。この商売に携わる町人はもちろん、すべての国々で取り扱う者たちに至るまで、たとえ公事や出入りの吟味中であっても、支障なく取引を行うべきである。もしも正真正銘の唐物を所持している者、あるいは合引当などに保管している者でも、妻子には関わらず当人だけが御仕置きになる場合は、その品物は没収せず妻子に下げ置くべきである。吟味中に家財を改めて封印しても、正真正銘の唐物については封印の対象外とするので、少しも懸念することなく今後は幅広く売買を行うものである。
右の通り文化年間に触れ出したところ、年月が経って理解していない者もいるようだと聞いている。今後、中国・オランダ物ともに正真正銘の品物については

Regarding those involved in purchasing medicinal herbs and sundry goods brought by Chinese ships, as well as cargo and joint guarantees, we have heard that recently they are hesitant about trading and their financial circulation is not good.
