一大目付河野豊前守能勢因幡守  出向案内而殿上之間下段着座後は  同所次之間列居下官之族は御玄関  前庭上に部居 一松平薩摩守登 城殿上之間下段  座上に着座 一出仕之面々直垂狩衣大紋布衣  素袍着之 一大広間御下段御次之御襖障子  取払二之間北之方二本目三本目  之柱間ゟ御襖障子際東之方え  四品以上之御譜代大名列侯

現代語訳

一、大目付の河野豊前守と能勢因幡守が  出向いて案内し、殿上の間下段に着座した後は  同所の次の間に列座し、下官の一族は御玄関の  前庭上に控えた 一、松平薩摩守が登城し、殿上の間下段の  座上に着座した 一、出仕の面々は直垂・狩衣・大紋・布衣・  素袍を着用した 一、大広間の御下段と御次の御襖障子を  取り払い、二の間北の方二本目三本目の  柱間から御襖障子際東の方へ  四品以上の御譜代大名が列席した

英語訳

1. The chief inspectors Kōno Buzen-no-kami and Nose Inaba-no-kami  went out to provide guidance, and after taking their seats in the lower section of the palace hall,  they sat in rows in the adjoining room of the same location, while the lower-ranking officials' families  waited in the front courtyard of the main entrance 1. Matsudaira Satsuma-no-kami ascended to the castle and  took his seat in the upper portion of the lower section of the palace hall 1. Those in attendance wore  naoshi, hunting robes, daimon, court dress, and素袍 (plain court robes) 1. The sliding doors between the lower section of the great hall and the adjoining room were  removed, and from the second and third pillar spaces on the north side of the second room  to the east side near the sliding door area,  hereditary daimyo of fourth rank and above were seated in rows
