現代語訳

ある所の花魁のために通う客人に、色男の彫り物を見つけられ、大いにもめて
【左頁上段】
「お前の通いは引越しの夜具、その他の当てが違い、大いに塞いでいるので、客人の立ち帰る治療を薫臍に頼みました」
「なんの意気地もないことだ」と、彫り物をもぐさで焼き消してしまった。すると客人も安心して立ち帰った。
理屈というものは争われないものである。
「花魁へ厚く申し上げなさい」
「お上、椅子へ連れて行こう」

「花里さんの居眠り、無理な治療をお頼み申してへ、ものだ」
【下段】
「居眠りにはかかと（踵）の灸が効きます」
「左の方からまず据え始めて、右の方のは残しておきましょうね」

A courtesan's patron had his tattoo discovered by another patron, causing a great commotion.
【Left page, upper section】
"Your patronage is like moving bedding - your expectations have gone awry, causing great melancholy, so I asked Kunsai for treatment to make the patron leave."
"What a spineless thing to do!" he said, and burned away the tattoo with moxa. The patron then left with peace of mind.
Logic is something that cannot be argued against.
