趣向（しゆかう）に御目（おめ）にかけまする
扨（さて）わけて御断（おことはり）を申上

現代語訳
ご覧にかけます。ご存知のとおり名君たちも大勢いらっしゃいますが、この中に漏れた方は後の趣向でご覧にかけます。さて、わけてお断りを申し上げますのは、行司双方をもらいますときは、ご見物様方はご意見を言わず、行司へお任せくださいませ。このことを事前に申し上げておきます。

We present this to your viewing. As you know, there are many distinguished lords, but those who were omitted from this selection will be presented in a later section. Now, we must particularly request your understanding on this point: when we have judges from both sides, we ask that the honorable spectators refrain from voicing opinions and leave the matter to the judges. We state this beforehand.
