紅雪を煉る仙人がいた。今や身を損なうのは酒色によってである。
故に六十年（一甲子）を重ねた老人を羨む。非命（天命でない死）は、どうして
ただ崖下や桎梏（手かせ足かせ）だけであろうか。愚かな私はこれを思って
止まない。蛍雪の間（苦学の間）に、その意を記して小冊子を作る。
一つは「食事戒」と言い、一つは「淫事戒」と言う。これは憶測や私論ではない。すべて
儒学と医学の経典から出たものである。自他ともに道を以て

情を制し、嗜欲が胃を虚らせ、房欲が腎を虚らせる弊害がないように。
そして上寿百年を保ち、天然の寿命を以て身を終えるなら、
これに勝る福はどこにあろうか、ということである。

There were immortals who refined cinnabar elixirs. Now, bodies are damaged through wine and lust.
Therefore, we envy those elderly who have accumulated sixty years (one complete cycle). Unnatural death—how could it be
limited only to cliffs and shackles? This foolish one thinks of this and
cannot stop. During my diligent studies by firefly and snow light, I recorded these thoughts and made a small booklet.
One is called "Dietary Precepts," and one is called "Sexual Precepts." These are not conjectures or private theories. Everything
emerges from the classics of Confucianism and medicine. Both oneself and others, using the Way to

control emotions, without the harmful effects of appetites weakening the stomach and sexual desires weakening the kidneys.
And if one maintains a hundred-year lifespan and ends one's life with a natural lifespan,
what greater fortune could there be than this?
