「右帖」
一マサトランを支配仕候重き役人をカンボサンといふ其次之役人を
ゴマンタンと云ガンホサンをもコマンタンとも申候此所銀子を持参しは
カンボサンへ相届指配を請申候
一遊女屋は無之候得共夕方芝居辺に粧候女共出居客を迎ひ芝居へ
連行見物致し夫ゟ女の家へ同道客を止宿致さす様子に相見申候
是等も遊女之類と相見申候
一鶏を蹴合せ候を見受申候軽業小屋へ鶏を数十羽持行此所に而
勝負致させ勝候方には銀戦等負候鶏とも取申候

刑人江足枷入目をくくり曲彔へ腰掛させ僧ゟ刑人何経申聞之
品有之？而水を手向香を焚候品等有之刑人之前は凡五百目程之
蝋燭江火を燃し置候而僧は寺へ帰り候右請に而リンダドウ弐拾人程
鉄砲に而討当申候からたは親類へ下ケ呉候得共吊は致させ不申
由に御座候
一鷹に似たる黒き鳥有之大サひよ鳥程に有之名を子キロと申候
一虫之類は大躰日本之辺りに有之候得共逗留中に？蛉並？は

現代語訳
「右帖」
一、マサトランを支配する重要な役人をカンボサンという。その次の役人をゴマンタンと言う。カンボサンをコマンタンとも言う。この場所で銀子を持参する場合は、カンボサンに届け出て指示を請う必要がある。
一、遊女屋はないけれども、夕方芝居の辺りに化粧をした女たちが出ており、客を迎えて芝居へ連れて行き見物させ、それから女の家へ同道して客を宿泊させる様子が見受けられる。これらも遊女の類いと見受けられる。
一、鶏を蹴り合わせるのを見た。軽業小屋へ鶏を数十羽持参し、この場所で勝負をさせ、勝った方には銀銭等を与え、負けた鶏は取り上げる。
「左帖」
刑人に足枷をはめ、目を縛り、曲録（椅子）に腰掛けさせ、僧が刑人に何かの経を読み聞かせる様子がある。そして水を手向け香を焚く等のことがある。刑人の前には凡そ五百目程の蝋燭に火を灯して置き、僧は寺へ帰る。その後、リンダドウ二十人程が鉄砲で撃ち殺す。死体は親類に渡されるが、吊るすことはしないとのことである。
一、鷹に似た黒い鳥がいる。大きさはひよどり程である。名前をコキロという。
一、虫の類は大体日本の辺りにいるものと同様であるが、滞在中に蜻蛉並びに[判読困難]は見かけなかった。

"Right Page"
1. The important official who governs Mazatlán is called "Kanbosan." The next-ranking official is called "Gomantan." Kanbosan is also called "Komantan." When bringing silver coins to this place, one must report to Kanbosan and request instructions.
1. Although there are no brothels, in the evening around the theater area, made-up women appear, welcoming customers, taking them to the theater for entertainment, and then accompanying them to the women's homes to provide lodging. These also appear to be a type of prostitute.
1. I observed cockfighting. Dozens of roosters are brought to the acrobatic performance huts, where they are made to fight, and the winner receives silver coins while the losing roosters are taken away.

Condemned criminals have shackles placed on their feet, their eyes are bound, and they are made to sit on a curved stool (chair). A monk recites some sutra to the criminal, then offers water and burns incense. In front of the criminal, candles weighing about 500 me are lit, after which the monk returns to the temple. Then about twenty "Lindadō" (soldiers) shoot them with guns. The bodies are given to relatives, but they do not hang them.
1. There is a black bird resembling a hawk, about the size of a bulbul, called "Kokiro."
