取国柄之儀に付此度躰之節は物借と申付くに付不用には御座候
得共物借仕置候旨四郎次ゟ承知仕候
一長崎出立之頃は雨天多御座候に付佐賀通川通川多候に付川支之程
難斗候に付唐津通罷越可然旨四郎次申聞候に付帰り之節は
唐津通罷越候義に御座候尤赤間関江渡海之節大風雨に而
内里駅に而一日逗留仕道中廿五日振りに而寅五月二日帰着仕候
儀に御座候長崎表並中国西国道中筋風土見聞之様子等は

「右帖」
取国柄の件について、この度の様な節は物借と申し付けるので不要ではあるが、物借を仕置くという旨を四郎次から承知した。
一、長崎出立の頃は雨天が多かったので、佐賀通りは川通りが多く、川の支障の程度が計り難いので、唐津通りを通って行くのが良いと四郎次が申し聞かせたので、帰りの際は唐津通りを通って行くことにした。もっとも赤間関への渡海の際は大風雨で、内里駅で一日逗留し、道中二十五日ぶりに寅五月二日に帰着した。長崎表並びに中国・西国道中筋の風土見聞の様子等は、詳細は前帳に記して追って申し上げるが、長崎逗留中の次第をまず

Regarding the matter of the country's character, in circumstances like this time, since it is designated as "monokari" (temporary borrowing), it is unnecessary, but I understood from Shiroji that the arrangement for temporary borrowing should be made.
1. Around the time of departure from Nagasaki, there was much rainy weather, so since the Saga route has many river crossings and the degree of river obstruction was difficult to predict, Shiroji advised that it would be better to go via the Karatsu route. Therefore, on the return journey, we went via the Karatsu route. However, when crossing to Akamagaseki, there was a great storm, and we stayed one day at Uchinori station, arriving home on the 2nd day of the 5th month of the year of Tora after 25 days of travel. Regarding the detailed observations of the customs and terrain of Nagasaki, China, and the western provinces along the route, the details will be recorded in the previous register and reported later, but first I will report on the circumstances during the stay in Nagasaki.
