絶（タエ）てまれ也。一-医あり薜己（セツキ）が書
をよみて人-参を用ひざる病-人

一-医 是（ゼ）にして一-医非（ヒ）ならば一-医の
療（レウ）ずるはみな活（イキ）ん。一-医の療（レウ）ずる

絶えて稀である。ある医師がいて、薛己の書を読んで人参を用いない病人はいない。時に天下が大いに疫病を患う。一人の医師が正しくて一人の医師が間違っているならば、一人の医師が治療する者は皆生き、一人の医師が治療する者は皆死ぬであろう。しかるに二人の医師ともに、ある者は生き、ある者は死ぬ。これはどのような事であろうか。私が言うには、薬が的中しなければ死ぬ。

また薬を誤っても、その薬に関わらずして生きる者がある。その生きるのは天がまだ殺さないからであろう。その死する者は天がこれを殺すからであろう。しかしながら天命と言いながらも、また良く医師を選べば生きるであろう。医師を選ぶことは古より難しい。扁鵲が言うには、病んで薬を服用しないのは中医を得ると医師を
