えらむ事のかたく良-医のなき

○病家の人のいはく時の医たがひに
相-引いざなふて時に発（ハツ）-行（カウ）し又
は物にたづさはり高-家に立より富（トメ）

ば官使（クハンシ）もはやく人に用ひらるゝ也
伝手（ツテ）もなく弁舌（ベンゼツ）ももたざれば時に

きものに米銭（ベイセン）をあたへ薬をの
ましめば慈（ジ）-悲（ヒ）の至（シ）-極（ゴク）なりと見
ゆれ共其￣ノ-真（シン）-実（ジツ）をさぐりもとむるに
慈悲（ジヒ）に事をよせ名をとらんとする
方便（テダテ）もあらん。如此（カクノゴトク）して大-医に至り
てはむかしのとき慈（ジ）-悲（ヒ）はするもの

選ぶことの難しく良医のないことを嘆く。
○病家の人が言うには、時の医師たちが互いに相手を引き入れて時に流行し、また物事に関わって高い家柄に立ち寄り、富裕な者に近づき、良いコネさえあれば、官職も早く人に用いられるのである。コネもなく弁舌も持たなければ、時に

用いられることは難しい。あるいは貧しい者に米銭を与え薬を飲ませれば、慈悲の極みであると見えるけれども、その真実を探り求めるに、慈悲に事を寄せて名声を取ろうとする手段もあるであろう。このようにして大医に至っては、昔の時代には慈悲をする者は少ない。病家にて手柄を語り
