ほどによく吟味（ギンミ）して湯-治するがよし
実症の人もさい〳〵は毒になるぞ
虚症なる人血をめぐらすとてするは
大きに毒也 五（ゴ）-木湯（モクユ）は皆（ミナ）-湿（シツ）を去（サ）￣ル
薬（ヤク）-種（シユ）也 去（サリ）ながら水の湿（シツ）あるゆへに薬（ヤク）
種（シユ）のしるしはなく却而（カヱツテ）水-筋（キン）-脈（ミヤク）を浸（ヒタ）し
て害（カイ）をなす也実-症の人は害なし
○一人 楊（タ）-梅（フ）瘡（ガサ）を病（ヤム）。温泉（デユ）に浴（ユアミ）して

に如此（カクノゴトシ）と示（シメ）すれば。病-人のいはく
去￣ル-秋 馬（アリ）-邑（マ）の温（デ）-泉（ユ）に浴（ユアミ）する事二
七日。いま七日 足（タ）らずして此-患（ウレヘ）を
のこせりと。如此（カクノゴトク）死すれども悟（サト）
現代語訳
【右丁】
程度によってよく吟味して湯治するのがよい。
実症の人も頻繁に入浴すると毒になる。
虚症の人が血行を良くしようとして入浴するのは
大いに毒である。五木湯はすべて湿を取り除く
薬種である。取り除くといっても水の湿があるために薬
種の効果はなく、かえって水筋脈を浸して
害をなすのである。実症の人には害はない。
○ある人が楊梅瘡を患った。温泉に入浴して

全体的に気持ちよく治った。一年後に
ひどい頭痛が起こり、その後元気がなくなり十
死一生の病気となった。私が脈を
診て病因を尋ねると、これは湯の毒のせい
だと示した。病人が言うには
「昨年秋、有馬の温泉に入浴すること
十四日間。今も七日足らずでこの患いを
残している」と。このように死んでも悟らない

It is best to carefully examine one's condition and take hot spring cures accordingly.
Even people with excess-type conditions will be poisoned by frequent bathing.
For people with deficiency-type conditions to bathe thinking it will improve blood circulation is
very poisonous. Gomoku-yu (five-wood hot springs) are all
medicinal substances that remove dampness. Even though they remove dampness, because water itself contains moisture, the medicinal
effects are nullified, and instead they soak the water channels and meridians,
causing harm. People with excess-type conditions suffer no harm.
○A certain person suffered from syphilis. After bathing in hot springs,

he felt completely well and comfortable. One year later,
severe headaches occurred, and afterward his vital energy became depleted, resulting in
a life-threatening illness. When I examined his pulse
and inquired about the cause of the disease, I indicated that this was due to the poison of the hot springs.
The patient said,
"Last autumn, I bathed in the hot springs of Arima for
fourteen days. Even now, in less than seven days, I have been left with
this affliction." Even when dying like this, people do not understand.
