今 癩（ライ）-病（ビヤウ）に妙-薬を用ひて治し
たるといふものを見るに大かたは楊（やう）
梅（ばい）-瘡（さう）の遺（のこ）りたる毒なり。いろ
黒（くろ）く紫（むらさ）きなれば見ちがえて
癩（ライ）-風なりとおもひ大-寒（かん）-薬を多（オヽ）
く服して命をうしなふ也。実（ジツ）の
癩-風は愈（いえ）がたきものぞ。妙方家

癬《割書：田虫（タムシ）。スバタケ。銭瘡》という様々な皮膚病の治りにくいものに、冷やす薬や治療薬を塗って治そうとすれば、病気の毒が体の内部に入って厄介なことになる。よくその毒を取り除いてから自然に治るようにするのがよい。小児などに下痢をさせる薬を多く用いれば、陽気を損なって色々な悪い症状が出るのである。

今、癩病に特効薬を用いて治したという者を見ると、大抵は梅毒の残った毒である。色が黒く紫色であれば見間違えて癩風だと思い、大寒薬を多く服用して命を失うのである。本当の癩風は治りがたいものである。特効薬を扱う医者は
