みづからの暗（クラ）きを歎（ナゲ）き素難（ソナン）をよみ
ても其-墻（カキ）を窺（ウカヾ）ふ事ならずして

は早疔（ハヤテウ）の症なり。死する事 目（マタ）

自分の知識の不足を嘆き、『素問』『難経』を読んでもその奥義を窺うことができずに日々を送ることは悔しいことである。
○俗に言う「日腫」または「早痃癖」とは、早疔の症状である。死に至ることは瞬く間である。顔が腫れて夢中状態になる者もある。また何事もなく突然倒れて絶命する者もある。卒中風などと見間違えて治療を失敗してしまう。

○普段使用する経穴に針灸をして、それで死亡する者がある。世間の人々は皆、医者が殺したかのように思うけれども、禁穴ではなく、急病とも見えずに死亡するのは予測できないことであり、医者の名声を失うのは不幸なことである。しかしながら
