【右丁】
毒である。本草に鰻鱺魚とあるのとは違うたうなぎについて、小児の疳の薬であるといって食べさせるのは毒である。詳しいことは食物本草に載っている。
○蜆
俗に、蜆は盗汗や黄疸の薬であると言い伝えられ、黄疸に似た症状があれば多く食べ、あるいは蜆の汁で薬湯などを作る。これは本草等の書物にも記載されていないことである。常人には毒にも薬にもならないが、多く食べれば腎を損なう。

○鯛 《割書：並びに四種》
鯛、もうお、きすご、めばる、おもと鯛。この五色は病人の良い食べ物である。

It is poisonous. Regarding eels, which are different from the man-rei fish mentioned in the Honzo (pharmacological texts), giving them to children as medicine for malnutrition is poisonous. Detailed information can be found in the Shokumotsu Honzo (Food Pharmacopoeia).
○Corbicula clams
Commonly, it is said that corbicula clams are medicine for night sweats and jaundice, and when there are symptoms resembling jaundice, people eat them frequently, or make medicinal broths with clam juice. This is not recorded in books such as the Honzo. For ordinary people, they are neither poisonous nor medicinal, but eating too many will damage the kidneys.
